Looking for a job: Helping Hand - 0 replies

TicTac Posted by TicTac in Jobs and careers in Málaga on Wed Oct 4, 2023 9:58am

Hi,

I am a bilingual speaker German/English and the one thing I have always known I would like to do with my life is, to help people. What can be more rewarding than finishing work, going home, and knowing you have helped people to master their everyday life?

I have supported the elderly and/or disabled for over 8 years. Some of my daily tasks were to oversee and administer medication, provide support in all areas of domestic and to access activities. My superiors, colleagues and clients value my empathy, ability to work in a team, good listening and communication skills, openness and humour.

Now I would like to relocate to Spain, between Fuengirola and Malaga to settle down permanently and look forward to continuing to work.

Thank you for taking the time to read and I look forward to hearing back from you.

Christine

Looking for a job: Customer support - 0 replies

TicTac Posted by TicTac in Jobs and careers in Málaga on Wed Oct 4, 2023 9:44am

I would like to relocate to Spain between Fuengirola and Malaga; and look for a remote or hybrid position. Lucky I have a EU passport. I am a confident, reliable and enthusiastic individual with +10 years of customer service experience. As a bilingual speaker, fluent in English and German native, I have exceptional communication skills and competencies in building customer relationships that inspire confidence and loyalty. Helping clients and customers is something I enjoy. I have experience in handling difficult and complex customer complaints and resolving issues to the satisfaction of both customers and companies. I strive to work well under pressure and have a strong ability to multi-task. I have interacted with customers by emails, live chats and social media; and evaluated websites and social media appearances.

I appreciate your taking the time to review my credentials and experience. Thank you for your consideration, and I hope to hear from you.

Relocating to Spain and work - 8 replies

Alison74 Posted by Alison74 in Coronavirus discussion in Málaga: Covid-19 news and updates on Mon Oct 2, 2023 5:42pm

My husband and I are both 49 and are wanting to leave the UK and come to Spain. We have a small property to sell and would still want to work. We are looking in the Malaga province. I am a Chiropodist and my husband is a manager of respite services, but we were hoping to come out and possibly work for ourselves in a small cafe as we have both worked in hospitality before. We have heard horror stories of needing hundreds of thousands of pounds to move and just wanted some genuine advice on the reality of moving to Spain and still needing to work. Thanks in advance for your help.

Missing person Velez Malaga

Tommy Kallestad who is a swedish resident has gone missing in the area around Velez (Malaga, Spain) we know he visited some kind of Buddhism center or event in the area. We haven't heard from him since September 7 2023.

Tommy is 33 years old, slim and about 170 cm tall. Light blonde, light skin - rarely tanned. His clothing is usually quite distinctive with lots of color and fabric.

ANY INFORMATION, NO MATTER HOW SMALL, IS OF GREAT VALUE TO US.

Help choosing location - 4 replies

HI there

My father wants to move to Spain next year, we are keen to gain information/ reccomendations on areas in the Costa Del Sol.

He lives on his own with a dog (Collie), we have been on holiday to various areas over the years but are aware living somewhere is quite different. We recently visited Malaga and absolutely loved this city. Ideally he doesn't want it to be just tourism. It would be great if it a good mix of Spanish and some internationals. We had thought of these areas but again know very little about living there: Torre del Mar, Estepona, Malaga.

His budget is £250k maximum, ideally looking for 3 bedrooms (poss 2bed  for the right place) with some outdoor area such as large terrace or small garden. We are very aware the budget rules out a number of areas.

Thank you in advance

Hello everybody, writing from Milan, Italy.

51 year old here, very young at heart and motivated  trying to move to Malaga or Torremolinos.

Looking for a job.

Had different working experiences but in last 22 years I am working as a editor for a publishing house. Would love to change and do something else available over there. Like house/apartment keeper for example.

I have NIE and CV in Spanish so if anyone is interested I can send it.

Thank you all.

Junior ISAs - 0 replies

Chatsworth25 Posted by Chatsworth25 in Banking and finances in Málaga on Fri Jul 28, 2023 12:00pm

In the uk we set up an Junior  isa for my daughter ( now 13 ) and we've had a terrible experiance with HALIFAX since we moved to spain -does anyone know if there is an online junior isa I can move it to -we all now live in malaga permanently

we can't close the account -hm rules

we would need to over every year to change rate otherwise it defaults to virtually nought

My understanding is that the junior isa is for the child and is not tax resident until 18 in uk or spain therefore family can still pay into the account till she reaches 18 and then she can transfer to bank account etc
