We rented through Airbnb for 6 weeks last year in La Herradura about 15/20 mins drive from Nerja. We are doing the same this May, we drive down Portsmouth Bilbao boat stay halfway down overnight as it’s a 9/10 hr drive. Through Airbnb the longer you stay you get a reduction in price, and we neg...

I have rented 2 apartments 1 in Malaga and I in Benidorm I have used Airbnb and Vrbo both are safe, you will pay an agency fee but your booking and money are guaranteed hope this helps. Dot

Hi Everyone.

Can anyone offer any advice,my wife and I are looking to move to Spain but initially would like to come out for up to 6/8 weeks so that we can establish which area we would like to reside in.

In order to do that we are looking for a long term rental for a couple of months, does anyone know of any long term rentals or a reputable letting agency where we can start from.

Also if anyone can offer any advice as to whether this is the best way to go about things.

Many thanks

William

Check out Airbnb. We were "Superhosts" for 5 years.

We've now sold up and we're moving ro Costa del Sol. (From Mallorca.)

Book an Airbnb for the shortest time it will allow.

Then when you get there, if you like it, offer to rent for longer.

The property owners will go for it if you offer cash. (Airbnb reports to Spanish Tax Office.)

Plus you'll save the hefty Airbnb booking fees,

Norm.
