Long term rental property

Hi Everyone.

Can anyone offer any advice,my wife and I are looking to move to Spain but initially would like to come out for up to 6/8 weeks so that we can establish which area we would like to reside in.

In order to do that we are looking for a long term rental for a couple of months, does anyone know of any long term rentals or a reputable letting agency where we can start from.

Also if anyone can offer any advice as to whether this is the best way to go about things.

Hi William

A long term rental here is for a period of 11/12 months. What you are looking for is a short term rental. If you have a look on the facebook page for the area you are looking for you should see available properties. Lots of independent agents advertise here. Good luck.

I’m sorry William, I’m not in your area. I have moved to Almeria. If you join the facebook page for the area you are interested in ie Nerja Info or Torrox Community Group then post on the page your requirements and dates you will get replies. People are also very helpful and will happily give you information on the area you’re interested in. I’m sorry I can’t be more helpful, and it’s no trouble. Good luck.

It's actually Almeria area that we would like to go to,but just needing some advice on the best way to go about it, would like to speak to someone that has moved out there post brexit,(Bain of my life)

Hi William

Spanish Citizens Advice are very helpful and have a Facebook page. We are lucky that we we’ve been here for nearly 5 years, so pre Brexit. You’ve posted in the Mijas Costa group. You need to join the Almeria group. Alex who runs the groups can help you if you’re unsure of how to do that. If I see anything advertised I’ll let you know. There are also helpful people on the Almeria group who seem to be very knowledgeable.

Hi

We rented through Airbnb for 6 weeks last year in La Herradura about 15/20 mins drive from Nerja. We are doing the same this May, we drive down Portsmouth Bilbao boat stay halfway down overnight as it’s a 9/10 hr drive. Through Airbnb the longer you stay you get a reduction in price, and we negotiated a further reduction. Don’t be afraid to ask. Hope you get sorted . If we can help any further just ask.
