This is very useful information regarding the available Real estate. Not sure if this is the place to ask a question about a golden visa.... but here goes. I've been with my partner for 6 years, but not married. If we bought a property valued at 500,000 euros can we both get the visa? I asked our...

My wife and I have just obtained the Golden Visa. One of you has to invest a minimum of 500k Euros, it can't be any less than that. So you can't own the property jointly if it is less than 1m Euros. You need to have one of you owning at least 500k of it if that makes sense.
You can work in Spain on the GV but not on the NLV. Once you spend over 183 days in Spain you are taxable here regardless and will have to pay Spanish taxes. On the GV you can spend less than 183 days a year here and remain taxable in your home country.
We used a good lawyer for the GV and I recommend doing so. You can apply for the GV from inside Spain whereas the NLV has to be applied for from outside. But when the GV application is in you are not allowed to leave Spain until it is approved. Ours was rejected twice as they wanted an updated marriage certificate apostilled. Took a long time to explain that the marriage certificate is the marriage certificate! We had to get a copy apostilled and that did the trick. You will also have to provide a Police Clearance certificate and evidence of a specific amount of income per annum. Plus you have to buy a one year private medical insurance policy.
