Car tax,when is it due

My local council La Cala de Mijas, take my car tax in May by Direct Debit, paying by DD gets me a 5% discount off the bill.
I get the same 5% discount on my IBI tax taken in March and my Basura Tax taken in April.

Thanks Jeffers, I do this with my IBI but did not realise it applies with a car.

I would like to point out that I think the tax is due in April, I just paid mine online through the website but it said if I did not pay by 18th May it would have a late payment penalty applied.

Will work out how to do a DD as I intent keeping the car for a few years.

Also DD for Basura.

This is my car tax DD, 4th May

To set up my DD with the Town Hall I contacted them and they sent me a DD form to fill in and send back to them.

They then set up the DD with my bank and started to take payments -5%

Didn't realise Alcaucín did direct debits for IBI car etc. I know on the coast the councils there I.e. Marbella Mijas Manilva do but not heard Alcaucín do. Love to know thanks

Just ask them for the DD form.

They can only say no.
