Hi we have a holiday apartment in Duquesa and the sofa bed ( which is faux leather) has started peeling in a couple of places. Does anyone know a company who dies furniture upholstery. I did get referred to a lady but she said it would be that expensive we were better to buy a new one as faux leather is not recommended in Spain. Apparently, it does split and peel with the heat.

It cost quite a lot of money and is a double bed also.

On the night of Sunday the 6th August (approximately 11:55pm) my family and I got a taxi from the Duquesa taxi rank and travelled in the Estepona direction to the Bermuda beach. A ten minute journey. On entering the apartment I immediately realised I was without my phone. We rang the phone a few times but after awhile it went straight to voicemail.  I was checking my phone in the taxi rank so the only possibilities are that it may have fallen getting into the taxi, dropped in the taxi (most likely), or getting out of the taxi. More than likely I left it in the taxi. I cancelled my SIM and attempted a remote lock/wiping of my phone. I also travelled to the Sabinillas police station the following morning. They took my details and suggested I ring Radio Taxi. I did this on more than one occasion but it hasn't been found yet. Unfortunately I have had to return to Ireland since then and I can't keep ringing.  Is there anything else I can do apart from ringing radio taxis again? Are there other companies operating in the port perhaps?  It was an official taxi but I didn't get the car number. We had travelled in taxis frequently so that evening was no different and I hadn't thought to take any of the details. I went back to the port the following night and spoke to some of the taxi drivers, but we recognised none of the cars or drivers.

I am a retired civil-servant (61) looking for a 'winter' rental in the above locations. I only need a studio or one bed as there is just me and my English (show) cocker spaniel, although I will be joined by my semi-retired Nurse partner for short holidays as and when she can get her leave approved. I would also be more than happy to consider a mobile home.

The dates in question are: 6-1-24 to 26-3-24 inclusive.

Impeccable references available upon request. The property will be left in immaculate condition (well, the same condition as found. I won't be putting in a new kitchen etc!!!)

I am retired and have a home close to Dequesa.

I am into living healthy into my coming years.

My questions are:

I would love to find a morning Yoga class to attend during my stay 18 Aug 23- 2nd Sept 23.

I love art also and would love to find an Art class during the above period.

Hi all, I wondered if you could help me with passport dates.  I am flying over on 1st August and returning back to UK ON 10th August 2023.  My eldest Grandson's passport expires on 4th February 2024, will this be ok for his to flight in and out of Spain ? Easyjet's site states 3 months, I spoke to someone last week and they advised 3 months but advised me to contact the Spanish Embassy in London.   I emailed them and they responded saying I should check with the Consulate General of Spain nearest to where you reside, which is Duquesa.

If anyone knows, please tell me as we are starting to panic :-(
