Hello I will be visiting Velez from 24/7 - 28/7 with the view to moving to the city from the UK. During my short stay I'd love to meet up for a coffee with anyone who would be interested and kind enough to give me any information/tips and guidance on setting up home in Velez. Many thanks. Bronwen

Hi Bronwen,
where abouts in Velez are you staying? I could meet up with you either on Thursday afternoon or Friday morning/ lunchtime. Unfortunately, the main square in Velez is dug up at the moment and the cafes there are not usable. We could meet at the bar La cabana on the paseo in Velez, in the bar Alcala next to the health center south (mornings only) or, as an alternative, in Torre del mar in the Cafe Venecia.

It's on the same street as - Muvel Museum
Do you know this area? Are there cafes in the area where we could meet?
Thursday morning would be a good day/time to meet up - I'll leave it up to you, as you know the area - if Casa del Abuelo is not too far/inconvenient for you you could always come there if that's easier.

Sorry Bronwen, cannot do thursday morning. I'm ok for thursday afternoon from 16:30 onwards or friday morning after 11:30. There are not really many cafes in the area, but the bar La Cabana on the paseo would be not too far from you and it is shady.

I will ask for directions from the people where I'm staying, plus during the daytime on Thursday I will be discovering the city and I will get a map from the tourist office, so hopefully I will find the bar La Cabana on Paseo Andalucia.
