This a good link and have many You Tube Videos'

https://upsticks.es/spanish-car-registration/

Now EU/Spain a third country not so easy you will be importing the car.  Good luck.

(Complications were such I shipped my car back to UK, 2021, not helped by only being able to drive for six months on UK licence, they say that might change soon, so you might be lucky)

Hiya if it's a right hand drive be better to sell and buy a Spanish car here if its lid then go to your local I t v station you will get one who speaks English they will put you in touch with an independent inspector then its traffico to register car then to town hall to pay taxes then back to traffic with receipts  then back to it for inspection there is companies but charge a lot so d I y you will make mistakes but ask for help they are all willing to help hope this helps we did it ourselves

Hi, I drive from London-Velez all the time, for me it's a lot cheaper as normally 6 people go for at least 4 weeks at a time. So the flight for 6 is approx £1500 and more when the kids are off school and £2500 7seater car hire a bit cheaper two hire 2× Ford ka ( god no! ) plus the expense of getting to and from the airport £200.

When driving £100 euro tunnel  £250 diesel and £100 tolls mainly in France, you can avoid some on satnav settings, but it will take longer, also sometimes I stay at the Originals hotel Dax France as I split the journey which is a bit more relaxing then the same on the return.

If you do drive my advice would be get emovis tag  to save the aggravation of paying at the tolls just drive through and pay monthly off you c/card.

As you can see for a party of 6 plus for 4-6 weeks I save a lot driving, I hope this gives some idea. Obviously if me and the wife go for a week or two out of school holiday times you can get a good deal flying and hiring a car. I hope this helps

Rick

I'd say main thing is to get started as soon as because you only have 60 days after becoming a new resident (if that's the route you're taking so not to pay import taxes) to register.
