Ah, thats interesting, my property was a new build in Fuengirola so we had to connect to electricity, etc for the first time. The property didn't even have a official address so perhaps we were in a different situation. We opted to use local banks with English speaking staff. The postal service is not reliable for receiving bank cards so we opted for collection from the branch. I'm old fashioned so prefer plastic credit cards to paying by phone.

You are correct Spanish postal service  poor indeed, however, Banking now all going smartphone Apps, N26 sent card DHL 24 hours & I was up and running  .
