Hi, we are traveling to Nerja from UK in the near future for a holiday and I have been looking at the options for transfers from Malaga airport to Nerja. I have got quotes for transfers  which seem very expensive and I wander if anyone can recommend public transport instead. Is there a regular bus service from Malaga airport  to Nerja and if so is there a lot of walking involved  to get to the bus stops. Any advice would be welcome, many thanks.

There's only one bus a day direct from the airport to Nerja. But if you take the train to Maria Zambrano (only a couple of stops and about 8 minutes) you can get lots of buses from the bus station, which is right next door to the railway station. It's about 5 minutes walk, all on one level, and buses start from early in the morning until about midnight.

Look on Alsa bus website for bus times.
