Hi all does anyone know of anyone in the UK that can help with the Spanish Visa now needed to enter Spain if relocating, I am asking here to see if someone knows of somebody that is doing it now and can help me with the process, that isn't going to charge to much. Thanks.

You can do it yourself, it is quite straightforward. Go to your ayuntamiento and ask for the forms.

Seems like my plans are out the window like a lot of other people since BREXIT!!!!

I wanted to move abroad but it seems you have to have a minimum of £1350 month income. Wont get that in pension I'm sure!!!!

Debs,

The wording of the conditions to move to Spain is a little misleading. You need to arrange medical insurance and have sufficient funds to live on, not sure where you got the figure from. Buying a house/flat is the biggest item on your list. Renting is easy here, but moving a little inland reduces the price of property and also deals with the many thousands of completely mad tourists during holiday season. Cost of living is much lower than the UK as well. Weekly shop for 2 is about 100 Euros, including wine and beer.

I got the figures from a few places. They are saying that now we are all classed as a third country, everything has changed which is why there was a mad rush for visas before brexit.

It's TRUE that a couple have to now have a minimum of £2700 month income and at least £32000 in the bank.

We wanted to retire there so would be living on state pension which I'm told from HMRC that it would be about £175 each week.

We have private pensions too but that was to pay for a mobile home in a residential park.

Feel absolutely gutted as it was our dream. Maybe it will change by the time we retire in about 9 yrs.

Thanks for your reply though

I would give Capital Consulting a call in Malaga. They know the right people and handled everything for me. I know people are still applying for residencia even now, so give them a try. Here is the email of the solicitor I used.

Wow! Is that true, Debs?

I was planning on relocating to the Malaga area, later this year. I'm nowhere near retirement age, so where would £1,350 a month come from? Or is that just for pensioners.

If this is true...my dreams are dashed!
