Hi ... me too. I've sold my house so should be in Fuengirola mid Sept. To become a resident you will need a rental address for about 3 months, private health if you don't get state pension yet, a Spanish bank with some money in it, proof of annual funds like a P60, passport,   I'm using a company to do all this for me as I don't speak Spanish yet.  malagaexpat.com   Irina is very nice😊

Once you know where you want to live you can register with some estate agents.  They will recommend a lawyer who will do everything for you, they set up your bank and utilities, your TIE number which you need to set everything up and residencia if you want to live out here

Anyone advise what community it like?  I am English with next to no Spanish (but will learn). I will be drawing English Pension.

I don't want particularly to be stuck in a British only community but equally obviously an English community will be helpful to ease me in.  Anyone can advise what the situation is like for a new "immigrant" - to set down roots in the community?

Any suggestions of good areas to look at on a limited budget?  Advice on good estate agents to use?

Hi.  Try Enova Estates, l found them very helpful and listened to what l wanted, they work with other agents in the area too, so have a large portfolio. Casrares and the area is a mix of Spanish and Europeans.  Sabinillas is the original town and the properties are reasonably priced, with the bars and cafes being mainly Spanish run.  Very convenient and you dont need to drive to anywhere.  Good luck
