We are worried about a friend Derek Frederick Fleet who lives in Mijas.

I'm looking for information about a family friend Derek Fleet, he doesn't answer his phone and my in laws are very concerned. Derek has recently been ill with cancer. They haven't heard from him since last October. Derek has lived in the Mijas area for many years, firstly in Riviera. More recently he moved to Cala and lived in a rented flat overlooking the town. Derek's birthday was on 2nd May, he'd be 79 or 80 by now. A member of my family - David Bullen has already contacted the UK consulate in Malaga asking for information about Derek but they were unable to help. 

I'm hoping that the informal expat network, [much more accessible than the UK or Spanish authorities] will be able to give some information regarding Derek and his current circumstances. Any info will at least put their minds at rest or in the worse of circumstances give them closure.
