It has already been stated that Brits are not allowed to visit Spain until September or maybe later and are encouraged to holiday in their own country for the time being. So I would check before making your journey

Hi Jan, please can you confirm who has stated "that Brits are not allowed to visit Spain until September or maybe later"

Current UK FCO advise against travel is open ended AFAIK , i.e. could change before, or after September

Maybe its something the Spanish Govt have said?

It is very worrying times indeed. If it was as simple as rethinking holiday plans that would not be to bad. I worry about my property also, because part of the home insurance policy is that it is not stood empty for a long period of time. God only knows where this leaves us? Another thing to worr...

Hi Tracy, Worrying thing is, that it may never leave us and just sit in the shadows like a lot strains of the Corona virus does. This outbreak seems to affect mainly older and less fit people, but fit and healthy people can still catch it. Just be safe.

Hi

I read it in the Spanish news online. This has come about due to lockdown being later than Spain. Apparently it said that other countries were allowed to travel to Spain but not Be its.

The really upsetting thing, apart from already having flights booked that are likely to be cancelled with no refund in sight. Is that holiday companies and airlines are still selling flights and package Holidays from as early as May 30th! This should not be allowed especially as they are then refusing to refund. It is like we are giving these companies a interest free loan. Selling of package holidays should stop until the government gives the green light.

Problem a lot of people will have is dealing with airlines like Ryanair and Easyjet. They will just refuse refunds and offer discounts because you never took the flights you booked. The insurance companies will be just as bad. They will use this as a way to squeeze more money out of us.

Yes i agree

This pandemic has caused so much destruction and is far from over if ever. I would certainly be very cautious in booking anything at the moment until you get proper valid confirmation

Unfortunately I had three fights booked this year. March naturally was cancelled as will the other two I fear. I have accepted the voucher for the first cancellation but it has to be used in 12 months. We are all just in a very unfortunate position. However important money is we do all have to think about the poor people who have lost their lives to this invisible terrorist!
