Hospitals are situated in Estepona, Marbella and Malaga and there is a private Hospital Sanitarios office in La Duquesa complete with ambulances. In The Port there are two large supermarkets, one smaller one and an English Butcher that sells many UK products and a good variety of meats etc. In Sabinillas there are four more Supermarkets, patisseries etc etc. In The Port there is a good Chemist and two more in Sabinillas. The Post Office is in Sabinillas.
Yes, there is an accent on golf as there are many first class courses in the very near vicinity and many International events are held close by, including The Ryder Cup European and Spanish Opens over the past few years. There is also a good boating fraternity in The Port.
Lastly, as there are no Hotels in La Duquesa, the family tourist industry is relatively low.
