We've had lots of posts asking for advice on how and where to get covid tests before travelling to/from Spain and I would like to compile a list of these suppliers so we can help others.

Please help by replying to this topic - please only reply if you can help with the answers to the below. For general discussion please use other topics.

Please let me know:

  • Where you received the test (location and contact details etc)
  • What type of test it was (PCR / Lateral flow / Antigen etc)
  • Cost of the test
  • Was it for travelling to or from Spain?
  • Whether you had any problems using it for travel?

We found that malaga airport was full up for the test, so we travelled to seville airport, only cost 30.00 each was quick, can be booked online.

in the uk when we got back had to do pcr tests day 2 and 8, booked with a company call randox in ireland cost 90.00 each, never again they were useless had to travel over an hour to deposit test into a metal box it was a small village.

They always let hubby know his result but always forgot me. if you ring up they state that  there are more than 50 people in front of you , about 90 minutes later a woman answers and they dont understand your problem. must be a bit dumb.

would never use again. coming back soon when house sale actually happens but this time we wont be going home. we are returning to live here again.

We recently got a lateral flow test for travel to the UK. We went to the San Francisco clinic in fuengirola. You can book online very easily it was €45 each and the results were available within 10 minutes you were given a paper certificate to take away with you.

yes our test was the lateral one costing 30.00 euros each and you get the results straight away, had an away day as well. the worst one was the pcr test on return to the uk. the big problem in seville was she stuck the swab so far up your nose you thought it was going to come out the top of your head.

The area is OK - not too far for us.

This post that was quoted has been deleted.

Thank you All for your help.

I have read that a PCR test is only advisory, an Antigen should suffice.

I drove from Puerto de la Duquesa to Bilbao to catch the Brittany Ferries ferry to Portsmouth at the beginning of August. On the day that I left Duquesa I popped into Helicipteros Sanitarios in Duquesa and took an antigen test. It took 15 minutes from start to finish and cost me 55€. Non members would pay 65€. No problem at Bilbao Customs, who required evidence of two Covid jabs, a negative Covid test , a completed Locator Form and a Residency Card. UK Customs only required a Passport.
