Hi there,

This is my first post on this forum. We currently run a successful small holiday home in SW France. We are reviewing our options regarding our next steps, one of which is to relocate to Spain. One of the issues we have living in France is the high level of taxation we face as property owners, a four bedroom all en-suite house plus Gite which is leaving us rather disillusioned with life in France. Can anyone advise, with out divulging personal details the type of property/land taxes we might face say if we purchased a similar size property. Currently we pay approximately €5.5k per annum.

Has anyone made a similar move from France to Spain and are willingly to share their experiences?

I'm looking for the nearest Parafarmacia to El Faro as I want to stock up with some more Orphea Dopopuntura insect bite gel.

It's an Italian gel, which is made from natural ingredients, and is the only remedy I've found that's effective in stopping the itch and healing the bite from mosquito bites.

It's not stocked by regular Farmacias apparently, so I need to find a Parafarmacia.

Hi we are in the process of buying  an apartment and wondered who people use for cleaners when the rental has finished their holiday ie cleaning washing towels bedding etc then making ready for the next rental, also for key pick up too. We are in Los Farolas

My husband and have leased an apartment in the El Faro area for a year.  We have visited Costa del Sol several time but have never stayed in this particular area.  Are there any members who live in the Avila or nearby apartments who can give me advice about local shops/ restaurants / bars etc.  Also what internet and TV providers they use.  The community internet provider charges excessive prices therefore I would like to ask who other members use.
