I'm actually talking to a couple of visa agents at the moment. So basically one year on NLV then I can apply for a work visa.

Yes, correct.

Don't forget that the non lucrative visa is an expensive first option which has to be applied for by yourself, third party applications on your behalf are not accepted by the consulate. Don't be persuaded to part with your money For something that a third party cannot do.

You have to make the non lucrative visa application whilst you are still living in the UK personally at one of the Spanish consulates in the UK either London,  Manchester or Edinburgh. Third party applications on your behalf are not acceptable. You can't make an application for the NLV from Spain.

You will need to be available for the interview and prove an income of around €28,800 per annum from Pensions, stocks and shares or other solid income sources. A lump sum plus a smaller income "could" be acceptable in some circumstances. You will need to show full private healthcare paid for a full year.

Wow. Bloody brexit. Thanks so much for all your information. Very much appreciated Steve.

I will have a large lump sum. I'll see what these agents advise before I go forward. My sister is a resident but apparently that doesn't help me either

Cheers anyway

I know it all sounds negative but stick with it and, importantly learn Spanish, and eventually everything will work out.

Look at this link that give all the information you need about applying for the non lucrative visa. It explains that you can't apply from Spain.

https://getgoldenvisa.com/non-lucrative-visa-spain.

Spanish companies that say they can help you with the application can't actually apply on your behalf.
