My wife and I are applying for the Golden Visa and are arranging private medical cover.

I declared that I had a stent fitted 4 years ago, as such the medical insurance company wants to exclude any heart treatment cover. I realise I only need the policy for the Golden Visa application so will most likely accept this.

Once I have residency under the Golden Visa I assume I can simply rely on the Spanish health system?

Any advice greatly appreciated.

@Insurance company wants to exclude any heart treatment cover"

Yes tricky & most private insurance does not cover things like cancer.

People who live and work or pay social security taxes in Spain can reach free access to state healthcare.
