hello everyone,

i am new to the forum.  i just purchased property at Big Blue villas in Benalmadena and i am totally displeased in the service they offer for the money i paid.

i would like to share some information with other people who recently bought in the area.

my main complains relate to the lack of assistance in moving in.  they are fast in accepting your (big) money but then when it comes to provide a follow up, they just bla-bla-bla and do not act.  as such we stayed 3 days without electricity, a whole week without internet.  after 2 weeks, we still do not have hot water nor air con...

i want to move to the next step, which is bringing them to court.

any one in knowledge of a helpful lawyer?

thanks.

antoine

Well they look lovely (just had a nosey at the website) :)

To be honest, unless there is something unusual about your developer, why is any of what you have mentioned their responsibility? Generally, having the various services connected whether that is electricity, internet, IPTV or whatever, is your responsibility. Certainly when I purchased my property this was all handled by me (or more correctly, my lawyer) The developer builds the place and sells it to you, how you choose to furnish it and whether you chose to have air conditioning, electricity, telephone and suchlike installed is entirely down to you. Clearly, you will, generally speaking want these services but most people don't go taking the developer to court to get them. Have your lawyer handle stuff like this, mine, for example, arranged for all the DDs etc to be set up so that the bills are paid. I assume that you have considered all of the other things (expenses) related to owning a property? Again, all of these things will be down to you to sort out and pay. Did your lawyer not advise you of all of this before completion? Or have I missed an important point somewhere? You are asking for lawyer recommendations? Can I assume that you were not or are not happy with your own? He (or she) would be my first port of call anyway...

I hope that puts some perspective in place....

:)
