Hi
On the back of this thread I have been reviewing my Direct Debits that were set up by my Spanish Solicitor when i bought the house. I have Four D/Debits for "Ayuntamiento de Fuengirola" . These Direct Debits do not identify the specific reason for each. Plus recognisable D/debits for Water, Electricvity and Residence Community Charge.
Also I was looking for a D/Debit for vehicle Road Tax payments (I am sure I set one up). I couldnt find anything that I could relate to road/vehicle tax.
So here is the idiot question that I am sure you expats will have the answers.
1. House: How many seperate "town hall" taxes and associated D/Debits would you expect to have? What are each of them for? What is the usual Payment plan/ (eg Monthly, Quarterly etc.
2. Car. Is the Car Tax collected by the town Hall (ie is one of my Ayuntamiento de Fuengirola payments?). If its not collected by Town Hall how and where does it get paid? What is the typical Road Tax charge and frequency (Annual? Six Monthly?) My Car is a 2007 Suzuki Grand Vitara if that helps. It is ITV'd every year and Roaqd Tax has never come up and I have not received any Tax Demands.
Sorry for asking such "Noddy" questions but it was all set up 10 years ago and I have "lost the plot"!
Regards to all
Ian
