Hi

I'm buying a new place in Torre Nueva and will be looking to remove lots of stuff, some of it might sell on here, and the rest may need to be thrown away, however, I'm reluctant to just trash it. Are there any similar things to Gumtree and/or Freecycle, to give things away? Is it also good practice to use tips (UK name, not sure what they would be over here!?), or maybe there are charities or the council collect items?

Thanks!

Phil

if you put something up for free you´ll have it gone in no time.

alternativly, if you dont want to deal with it - put it by the side of the bin and it´ll be gone within an hour.

Hi, CUDECA CANCER CHARITY are always asking for furniture etc., to repair and refurbish to sell in their Furniture Shop and I believe they have one in Mijas. A very good cause as all proceeds go to help their Hospice in Benalmadena.

Hi James, I am in the same situation.

Do you have any tips of websites where we could put an ad up?

Wallapop is an app on your phone, that's very easy to use.

Milanuncios is good too

Facebook market place

Either way, putting things up for free you will have lots of replies from market traders wanting to come and and get small things, but with big things / furniture they will want to charge you to come and get it, like a man&van or removals, even if its for rubbish, you have to pay.

We had quotes of extortionate amounts of money to remove rubbish, yes, there was alot of it, but I had already broken much of it down. We ended up paying 140€ for a tall skip, and he took it to the municipal dump in malaga.

This is a good option, they will come and get things and it's for a good cause.

Also the dog charities etc, if its decent items that you just dont want, ie, not rubbish, they will take it to sell on the market
