I have sterling DDs and Revolut provides a far better exchange rate than Sabadell!

I not sure how stable Revolut is, last year Revolut reported a pre-tax loss of £107m, more than triple the £33m loss in 2018.

I would say 'Wise' for money low cost transfers Ex Transferwise,

Wise now have a market Cap of 8 Billion.

I had no problem with N6 before being a 'resident', I did however have an address to send the card, they are a great service, They just ask which country you are in, it's basically a Euro account. No longer £££.

There’s a waiting list for n26 accounts, no matter where you are. That leaves me a bit stumped because, as a non-resident Spanish home owner, I’d like to set up some direct debits for the Utilities and won’t be making many deposits on a regular basis. In the U.K. I am with Santander and I wonder if these sister banks would make transfers easier. I’d rather like to have Spanish/Euro debit card and also try to avoid silly conversion (£—> €) if I can avoid it.

Hi Bishee, as my original message implied I'm just starting to find my way around this area but Starling have a debit card for both GB pounds and euros if that helps you? Trouble is their reviews don't look all that great re. customer service.

Thanks. I do already have a U.K. starling account but wasn’t aware they had a euro-linked version …

It's not so easy now for financial services banking over borders UK/EU, German fintech N26 shut down its operations in the U.K, but fine if just  use a Euro account, operates great in Spain & EU.

Wise ex Transferwise moved its European headquarters from London to the continent, their customers send roughly $1 billion through its website every month. There CEO said “If you’re building the next fintech business you shouldn’t build it in London today"

Nothing! But I was interested in your statement "There’s a waiting list for n26 accounts". They seem to be doing well and hit of 5 million customers at the start of the year. Now some new funding...
