If they are thinking of staying a few years, I would suggest that they send them to state schools as at that age they will pick up very fast Spanish. Within 2 terms they will be fluent, and that is a gift that they will never lose nor regret.
I have a neighbour who sent a 5 year old to the local British school, where, in theory, they have some Spanish lessons. However after 2 years she can barely tell me her name and say a few colours.
A state primary, called a C.E.I.P. or a Colegio. Whichever one is the local one for where they live.
Best wishes
P.S. I am a retired London Headmistress, been doing volunteer teaching in Estepona state primary for 15+ years. That´s how I know how quickly they pick up Spanish!
