Hi Guys
We will be looking to buy a holiday home in the Estepona area next year when we semi retire. We want a town house with a minimum 2 bedrooms we would love to be in Estepona but realistically our budget will probably not stretch to that. The question is can anyone give advise on nice areas within 10 miles of Estepona where our budget would go a little further ? TIA.

Like Righmove UK almost all property here is listed by Idealista, see link Estepona - you can use their maps to locate any area, take care with out of town developments, they can often be a bad investment. Beware 3 million empty homes in Spain, the ones that hold value best are mostly in desirable urban areas, where less empty property, a good location will normally be attractive to Spanish, who know the market best. Allow about 11% on the top of prices for taxes, most are marked up to expect the buy to ask for at least a 10% discount to cover taxes. Best to start any offer perhaps 20% below and work up. Take care of agents, never make any buying move without a lawyer and don't pay a deposit direct to an agent.

Casares is where we are on the coast and only 10 mins away in the car.
