Hi,

I’m looking at buying in the Estepona area. La duquesa and manvilla have some really nice apartments however I’ve heard that these areas are quite rough. Has anyone got any information that would help.

Thanks

Mindy

Mindy,  First let me say that I live in Casares Pueblo but all the time am going to Sabi/Manilva and Estepona. [So, MY opinion and experience only.] I love Estepona!  I call it the Town of Flowers!  They take such good care of the place.  I like just to drive through it slowly and look at the flowers everywhere.  There are great restaurants (everything you need to live actually and top quality), a beautiful beach and Paseo to walk long distances.  Its like a small Marbella, but even nicer in my opinion and recently they added even more free parking.  There are also many different kinds of lifestyle you can have in the area of Estepona as its really quite a large area.  Do check it out.

Sabi / Manilva area unfortunately is not cared for in the same degree as Estepona.  Everything you need is there but its definitely not close to Estepona in any regard I can think of.  The market in Sabi is small but good and many useful services but would not be my #1 choice to live.

La Duquesa I do not know well but was there recently for lunch.  I was sad to see how so many restaurants have closed (I am guessing since the pandemic) and it seems like a compressed sort of life in the main areas.  Lots of apartments.  In the outlying areas as well very large urbanizations.  Perhaps when things pick up a nice place to wander around the marina if that is your thing.  Good English butcher if you are not vegetarian.

Estepona for me wins hands down.  Yes you pay more but you get what you pay for.

Hi Mindy,

One more thing.  Think about the return on investment.  I do not see you can go wrong with Estepona.  Value of your property will rise exponentially over the other areas.

Good luck.  I know its a bit more expensive but if you can swing it then I think you will be glad you did.

We are also looking at the same are we have had 2 vuirtual tours one at the Small oasis and one at Amphora

We prefered the latter however not sure of the area

Estepona probably slightly out of reach we got 150k max budget

Any help on apartment complexes is welcomed regards
