Can anyone tell us how to obtain a Spanish driver license ?

Is the written test in English as well as Spanish ?

If you have a UK licence dated before your Spanish residency started you can exchange it for a Spanish licence without taking a test.

Correct and it might be worth using a Gestor to do all the paperwork and get the license exchanged.

I agree, that is what we did earlier in the year, once the process was announced, straight to a Gestor and handed the responsibility as well as running back and forth, to them. OK you pay a fee, but for me I had other things to occupy my mind than the interminable bureaucratic process of this stuff.

...ff.

Yes it's a pain and takes a lot of time, using a Gestor the best way, you need all the correct paperwork in place and the pain of going to the DGT
