Good morning there!
Not quite sure which car park you are referring to. If you tell me where you will be staying in Town I might be able to guess a bit more!
If it's the one underneath the Plaza Antonia Guerrero, that's very cheap, 1 or 2 euros a day I think. Pay machines. But careful - the "Temporary summer closure" of the Calle Terraza to all vehicles except early morning deliveries means that it can be tricky to get there through the one-way back streets.
The open-air one in the Avenida San Lorenzo is also about the same price. You pay (it is supposed to be voluntary, you wouldn't not pay, would you?) the handicapped attendants wearing the hi-vis. They have been authorised by the Town Council to collect money there. Their handicap is not always evident (they may be autistic), but it's a nice way for them all to be out and about, meeting people, and getting a bit of money.
The open-air one by the large Carrefour hypermarket (not the shop's own one, the one off the same roundabout) is free.
Two points about all the car parks. They are always very very full. As there is no parking in the Old Town, everyone is looking for somewhere to leave their car.
And secondly, do not leave anything inside. A hire car will be targeted by the EU gangs that roam all the costa, with devices that allow them to read your key fob as you close the car. They then come and open the car to see if you have suitcases. They don't steal the car, don't damage it, and may be working Torremolinos or Fuengirola in the time you are in Estepona, but the police tell us that they roam around checking tourist cars. By the way, try the TripAdvisor Estepona Forum for general queries about the town - much more traffic on there, many more replies and faster than on here.
Have a lovely time!
