Hi Mc,

There is a the Andalucia Medical service in Sabinillas and Helicopter Sanitarios, it just depends on your status and needs.

My friend Vatee speaks Spanish and helps us at the Royal British Legion, she has also been my translator at hospital.

If you are interested I will sort out the details.

Hi ,

We use Helicopteros Sanitarios at cost of €250 each a year. They provide a quick GP, Nurse and Ambulance Service and speak English.

For routine and serious issues we use the NHS Equivalent ( Junta de Andulcia Sanitarios) however you have to be a resident, and have submitted an S1 form to get NHS support funding. If you are working and pay tax or autonimo, then this covers it too.

If you are not on state pension or not working then you will need private medical cover anyway.

The translator is Vattee - +34 711 039 844 [email protected]   I will be seeing her tomorrow so will let her know I have passed her details on.

Helicopteros Sanitarios -  is in the Mini-India/ Eroski complex on the A7 roundabout after the Duquesa Golf Club - +34 951 276 767

Junta is Avenue Andalucia in Sabinillas - it is best to visit ( there is a free translator service by reception. Once you are registered there is an app to fix appointments etc.

Hope this helps.
