Is there an established ex pat community. Are there any clubs, meetings and organised events in place? My
wife Wendy wants to know (not me of course) how far is the nearest Aldi & Ikea.........LOL

Hi, Aldi is at Coin or Estacion de Cartama, both about 25 minutes drive, Ikea is near the airport about 35 minutes drive.
Around the village the ex-pat community numbers about 100 or more. The only regular club i think is the weekly humorously named "Fat club", for slimmers! There are 3 or 4 dog rescue fund raisers each year and an art club. There is a regular meet twice a week for playing Padel, and a group of folk who fly things like drones and helicopters.But we´re always open to newcomers bringing new ideas.

Thanks for your reply. Sounds like a great place. I know of 2 properties for sale in the town. Reasonably priced and with a bit of TLC could be a wonderful home. Just hope the pound picks up after Brexit as it's not a good time to buy in Euros at the minute. My wife is a Slimming World fanatic so the 'Fat Club' sounds hilarious. Thanks again.
