As I said I have used this service for over four years!! It is totally legal as the company pays a licence fee. They do not provide anything other than Freeview channels. The services that get closed down are the ones that provide subscription channels such as films and sports. Why do you keep commenting on things that you know nothing about? 

I am from Canada. What type of programming does it offer in English? I have yet to close on my new house and digging for information.

There are no licences for re- streaming from the main UK broadcasters.

As I have said I have been using this service for over four years. After initially paying monthly due to concerns over the service being shut down, I now pay yearly to reduce the cost. DON'T BELIEVE EVERYTHING YOU READ IN THE MEDIA!

1. Who is Expat TV, & why no address or company location on the web page?  

2. Re- selling others broadcasters copyright material is illegal, unless a licencing agreement, no such agreements with Ex Pat TV. has been  published with UK broadcasters, copyright content makes almost impossible without substantial costs and rights issues. 

3. IPTV operators can normally carry FTA channels in their 'own country,' In UK viewers just need  a TV licence.

4. Programme content has Geo restrictions due to copyright content..

5. Even FTA broadcasters like SKY News or CNN have problems streaming via You Tube, music rights being an example, the reason Sky News or CNN have no commercials on You Tube.

6. There is no ban on individuals using private VPN's and very popular for watching streamed home country content, most broadcasters will however ask for a home country address. (Which I'm sure most can provide)
