Mijas Costa runs roughly from La Cala de Mijas to Cabopino. During the winter there should not be too much in finding affordable apartments at La Cala (de Mijas), Riviera de Sol, Calahonda or Cabopino. Calahonda is the most central of these areas but La Cala has the best market (Wednesday and Saturday). There is an excellent footpath, mainly boardwalk , from La Cala to Cabopino and beyond to the Dunas Artola. Mijas Pueblo (town) is also not to be missed, with excellent shops and restaurants. As you gather, I love this area and cannot think of anywhere I'd rather spend the winter months. I hope you find good accommodation and enjoy the area as much as me.
