Not allowing Brits to use their blue badge in Spain is a Spanish decision not an EU decision.
Very strange of the Spanish to do this, when the blue badge can be used in other EU countries

Bad really if you are disabled and have a badge you should be able to use it anywhere what difference does it make ?

I had to have a,letter from my doctor,with that I need to make a appointment at the adjumento in Casares for a invalid badge .Hope this info is helpful.

Hi I’m on holiday for 3 months in mijas I have a Uk badge which I know I can’t use can I get something temporary while I’m here ?

If I were you to get a good and def answer to your question go to your nearest adjumento or policestation.

This is the reply I got from the foreigners department of the La Cala de Mijas council when I enquired about my sister being able to use her blue badge.
"Unfortunately, if you are not a resident you cannot use your UK badge. You can risk it because some policemen may be nicer and don't say anything but the official information is that you can't use your british badge, I am sorry.

Thankyou Laura can’t understand the Spanish doing that really ..bringing money in to them
Usually good with anything like that .. being resident is hard now unless you are really well off ..

The Uk needs to take note lol xx
4 years ago we were about to buy having sold up in the Uk when I had to go back as my son in law was really ill .. Bless him he died of Covid and we were stuck in the UK .
he was a healthy 50 yr old
We were stuck as we had sold our home so had to rent at extortionate rate as you couldn’t look at much property because of Covid so money was gradually going and we ended up supporting my daughter and the 4 children who were left behind when their Daddy died .. My Spanish dream gone !
My friend has an apartment which we use we can get over as my health deteriorated with the stress I had with losing my son in law I am only now getting on my feet as it were .. I can’t walk too far so it’s a bind not being able to use my badge
