Hi Jane

I used SkySwap in Torremolinos, based in La Nogalera.  I found Roy in there to be incredibly knowledgeable and helpful for TV and Internet

He has saved me a lot of money and is always on hand to help

Hope that helps

Yes it’s a tp_link router in your apartment, password protected for your use only. Just like normal broadband really.

http://benawifi.com/service-plans/   The link you gave is like a wireless phone service, for TV and things like Netflix you really need a Speed of about 60.. Their lower one of about 15 fine for surfing the net, but would not be hopeful about HD TV. 30 absolute minimum.

I’ll just post this for clarity as I’m no expert in this area but I do have the service and I’m currently sat using it whilst posting this. My understanding is that the broadband is beamed via a microwave type link. I’ve done a speed test now and I’m getting 19.8mbps. I’m watching Netflix on a Samsung HD TV whilst also on Facebook etc. There is no buffering. I also get many other UK channels plus Amazon Prime.  Vasco at Benawifi is a very helpful chap. I’d email him or Whats app via his website if you want anything else. For me it does everything I require of it and I haven’t found a more cost effective supplier. I’ll leave it at that for you to consider.

I am an engineer, note although you have an HD TV, it does not mean you are watching full *HD, for that you need a minimum of 25 Mbps, with the speed you quote would not be full resolution, also with many of the 'bootleg' service here in Spain TV is downscaled, so not to use full bandwidth. 19.8  Mbps very low indeed these days, but if you are happy 'great'. You Tube needs 15 Mbps HD, with more than one device a low speed is trading on thin ice. Note many of the cheaper TV's are only HD ready anyway. Normal internet is very good here Jazztel offering '600 Mb' for 29 Euro a month,

HD ready offers 1,366 x 768 pixels, full HD is 1,920 x 1,080 pixels
