So far we have only been able to swop our old gas bottle and not buy new ones. We need four new ones for our cottages. everyone just tuts when we ask and shake their heads.

I believe it is possible to buy them from garages sometimes and that a sort of "contract" is involved for which you pay a one off fee per bottle. Secondhand ones can sometimes be picked up at car boot sales and put out for refill. There is a Sunday car boot in Coin, expect to pay 12-15 € per empty bottle.

I think Coin may be the answer as our local garages wont sell new bottles.

Coin car boot is Sunday's from 10-2pm and parking is right outside. There are secondhand shops in Mollina and Alameda which might just have them but no guarantee. Also, ask around, ask everyone because anyone returning to UK or moving might have one they're glad to get rid of.
