Is there anywhere in Antequera that does Spanish lessons for beginners? Not on line please.

It might be worth approaching some of the local language academies who may be able to assist.  Just for your information there is an Intercambio group which meets on a Sunday evening at 6pm in Cassani Bakery/Coffee Shop on Calle Comedias.  Varying levels of Spanish and English.   A friendly group and a good way to meet new people.  Best of luck to you.

Hi Michele,

I know you said not online and you didn't say what kind of 'beginner' you are but if you are a real beginner (like me) then classes may be difficult (unless you actually know some Spanish).

There are so many great online options these days over even a few years ago (you can find them on Youtube and then go to their websites from there). Many people use Duolingo and I use it too because I need alot of help to make any progress in learning Spanish.  LOL

Classes are taught so fast and are so intense it just made me lose confidence.  Yes I need the commitment to do it myself but at least I am in control of the pace.  The nice potential with classes is that you can meet other people but everyone is at a different level in the 'beginner' category so I didn't find that aspect useful either.

Best of luck with finding what you need to support your personal learning.

Hi Folks,

I have been learning Spanish for a while, utilising  different sources.

The best of which I have found is one to one conversational.

I did an immersive Spanish course in the language school in Nerja.

Before that I had attended a beginners class at my local college....downside to this was that my Spanish had a local accent as the teacher was also local...U.K.

After the immersive Spanish I have been using duolingo and the BBC talk Spanish course and also practising with Spanish locals on many travels.

My advice would be to try and speak and listen one to one with a native Spanish teacher as this will give you the best progress and  will help no end.

There is a Spanish lady on here who's English is exceptional and offers this service at a very good rate considering it is one to one !

See below.

Here is Olivias Service.

Considering moving to Spain ?

ONLINE (SKYPE) SPANISH LESSONS availability on a 1:1 basis, with a native Spanish speaker (50).

You can choose weekdays and/or
weekends .

These lessons will :

1.
Improve your basic conversation skills.

2.
Enable you to practice correct pronunciation and grammar.

3.
Give you confidence by practicing
and rehearsing oral presentations, job interviews and general conversations with your neighbours, new Spanish friends, doctors appointments, shopping etc.

Who will benefit?

Beginners, traveller's throughout Spain & Latin America or anyone who plans
on moving to Spain, or are already settled in Spain and would like to improve their conversation & pronunciation.

I am also happy to accompany you in specific situations where you would feel happier with a native speaker helping you.
For example ...to a doctor, notary or dentist.
Or perhaps professionally on company presentations where relations with clients may be improved by having a Spanish Speaker available.

Cost: €12 / hour of conversational Spanish.
You talk and I help correct you.
Feel free to contact me for more information and to book an appointment you can Email:

[email protected]

I hope this is of some help.

The ability to speak and understand Spanish will open up so many doors for you personally and enhance your life in Spain.

Andy

Hi,

I am a TEFL teacher here in Antequera, I've been living in Span for over thirty years and am totally bilingual (Spanish/English).

I have helped different nationalities to learn Spanish (Scandi, French/Belgian, German, Italian) and would like to offer conversation classes to individuals and/or groups of ex-pats in an informal setting (over a coffee morning, for example) here in Antequera. It's also a way of meeting people and making friends, as well as helping people resolve and issues they may have with local authorities, tradesmen etc.

I charge  15 euros an hour for individuals, obviously that computes to 7.50 if it's two people, or 5 euros for three.

If you're interested post a reply here, then we'll take it from there.

Hi Ian

Where do you hold the lessons in Antequera and how many people attend your class? I am interested if the class is not too large.

Thanks

Mi
