Hello all

I’m considering moving to Mollina with my nine year old girl. I think she is too old to go into the spanish education system and I’m looking for international or bilingual school close by. On researching international schools they seem to be near the coast and quite pricey so I’m looking for any recommendations/information on suitable schools. I’m also coming over in July and was wondering if there is a community of British families with young children who get together so my girl can have some fun with. Thank you in advance for any information you may have! Tina

9 years old isn’t late to put her into a Spanish school.  When we moved to France our children were 11 and 13, we put them straight into the French school.  It was hard for them at first, but it was the best thing we ever did.  They have lots of French and English friends and became fluent much quicker than if we had put them into a private English speaking school.   They thank us for it now. 😃

Hi Loz, I suppose my fear is her being isolated as she is an only child and the thought of her struggling on top of a move. Thanks for your reply, something to think about! Thanks, Tina

Yes, I can understand your worries.  She is your daughter and you will know what is best for her.  Every child is different.  Good luck.
