Picking up at Malaga airport - 3 replies

Ian2022 Posted by Ian2022 in Driving, hiring, buying and owning a car in Cómpeta on Tue May 30, 2023 7:40am

Hi All

Next week I’ll be picking up family members at Malaga airport.

I’m not keen and don’t trust myself in a hired car to use a multi storey car park.

Advice please on how to pick up visitors without having to squeeze into tiny parking spaces!

Cheers

Hi All

Does anyone have the definitive answer to this? Despite reading a lot about the non lucrative visa requirements, I haven't been able to find an answer.

On assessing financial means, does the application form or do the consulate officers ask you about loans, mortgages or credit card balances?

Cheers again

Cost of living comfortably - 1 replies

Ian2022 Posted by Ian2022 in Banking and finances in Cómpeta on Sat Apr 15, 2023 9:27am

Hi All

Before I ask the question, I already know there is no simple answer other than it depends on what lifestyle you choose to lead.

Here goes anyway.

If a retired couple lives in their own property with no mortgage or rent to pay, what minimum monthly income do they really need to live comfortably in a villa in Competa?

I’d love to hear from those in this situation who by now will have arrived at a monthly or yearly budget with which they are comfortable.

Thanks for giving this your time of day.

I have a lovely small old armchair that I am looking to recover. I will provide fabric. We are in Canillas de Albaida but would be able to drop the chair off if not too far away. Look forward to hearing from someone! Photos can be supplied if required.

For sale: IKEA Malm king bed (black) & mattress - 0 replies

Loraine Posted by Loraine in Buy and sell items in Cómpeta on Sun Mar 12, 2023 8:03pm

Virtually brand new IKEA bed with mattress. Spotless, hardly used. Only selling as we need to replace with bunk beds for small children. Bedside tables to match if required (small extra cost).  Honestly worth checking out. Would cost around €500 new.

Dog sitting - 3 replies

Steph1534 Posted by Steph1534 in Animals and pets in Cómpeta on Thu Mar 9, 2023 3:20pm

Hi. My husband and I are travelling with our dog to Competa from the UK at the beginning of April. We will be staying in Competa for two weeks before travelling to Xabia for another couple of weeks. Are there any dog sitters in Competa? While there we might want to go out for the day occasionally without our dog or have a night out and it would be great if we could find someone who could come to our villa and look after our dog for a few hours. Many thanks, Steph

Honestly, it’s not for me. Not enough hair left to style. But my wife is very particular about who cuts, colours and styles her hair so am relying on you all to point me in the right direction.

Hi all

I hope this post doesn’t provoke as much controversy as my last one!

To qualify for NLV, you need to show regular passive income of at least 27k euros for the first year or savings of that amount. I understand that.

But this includes an amount to rent somewhere to live, I presume.

So what if you intend to live in a property in Spain that you own outright?

Does this reduce the amount you need to show in income or savings?

My guess is it makes no difference, but nice to have it confirmed by someone in exactly that situation.

Cheers
