Hello, my husband and I will fly out on the 16th Sept to try and find a house firstly to have holidays but eventually become our permanent home but first we have to narrow down which area. We will be staying in Alhama de Granada for the week and are seeing a few properties there. We have never been to Southern Spain so we are happy to listen to any advice you can give us. We would like to be somewhere prefwith all amenities within walking distance and within 90 minutes of Malaga airport. One of the places we are looking is Competa. Non residents pay 24% tax on rental income.

Say I rent out my home through Travelnest. They charge a 20% fee for finding the booking. 

So, let’s say I rent it out for 1000 euros per week. Do I pay 24% of 1000 or 24% of 800?  

Haven’t yet received a bill since acquiring a 3 bed villa with pool in January.  

When are bills issued and what are the usual costs for such a property? 

 Council tax was lifted from my bank account yesterday without warning so I need to ensure enough funds are in place for the water bill which could come any time.

I'm looking for an English speaking personal trainer in Competa. I am recovering from an illness and need some help increasing my fitness and losing weight. I particularly enjoy weight training, strength and boxing with my trainer using pads. I would want to train once or twice a week depending on cost.

Would greatly appreciate any recommendations for English speaking home insurance brokers or companies... And any guide to what you would expect to pay for a 2/3 bedroom house  building insurance policy in the Competa area.

Hi everyone - enjoying the lovely weather here in Competa. I am picking up a friend from Malaga airport tomorrow morning and have not parked at the Airport before. I would be very grateful for your advice on the best place to park short stay for collecting a friend. When my wife and I arrived we exited the sliding doors out to the crossing where the transfer car hire vehicles are. I noticed parking pay machine's. Can I assume you can park in the carpark to the right outside of the exit doors.? Thank you in advance for any advice anyone can offer. Have a fabulous weekend. 

Hello, can anyone give me some advice on a cheap car hire in or around in Competa. I hired from the airport the last time for 10 days, but I need it this time for 30 days so it will prove to be a bit expensive.
