Hi, I just thought I'd introduce myself as it looks like a good place to get real honest advice.

I'm Georgina and just on a search for your knowledge and wisdom regarding buying property on the Costa Del Sol.

My husband and I are both in our late 40's and are at the crunching the numbers stage of buying an apartment that we can eventually retire to ( in about 10/15 years). In the meantime we would use it for family holidays and a holiday let. This has been a dream of ours for so long but we're scared of making a mistake, it's a big step. 

I just wondered if anyone has any advice? We're planning a trip in March to have a look at different properties in different areas. I'm drawn to Estepona but totally open to consider other areas as we don't know what's out there.

We'll have about £200k for the purchase of the property and that includes any fees, taxes etc. We'd ideally like 3 beds, 2 baths and walk to nice shops, bars and restaurants, preferably close to the coast. 

Any suggestions on area, agents, letting agents, lawyers etc would be great!
