We are looking to buy a property in the area that needs refurbishing.  Is there any restrictions when refurbing the inside of the property? Thanks

Thank you, does the same apply for internal work.  We don’t intend to any work on the outer structure.

You'll need permission for internal works, as we did for an additional bathroom

Hello again, my husband is a trades man and will be doing any works.  Is this allowed or so they insist on using Spanish builders.  Hope not as this will be a deal breaker.

Appreciate your comments.

There is a planning application to complete detailing the proposed works & in that you have to detail the cost of materials (upon which the tax will be based -they don't ask for or tax the labour cost)

For a non Spanish speaker such as myself the form was complicated & in fact my builder completed the form

Provided that you are able to complete the form then I can't think self build would be an issue
