I'm driving down from scotland but bringing husband and small dog to Luis sabinnhlas.  Any advice of where to stop in France and Spain on route.  I think it will take me 3 nights.  Also what are toll costs now.  Any assistance would be greatly appreciated

Hi Denise

I can not offer any advise re Accommodation on stopovers in France. But include later travel restrictions in France for you.

Good Luck

Hi

We did that journey but from Spain to Scotland a few weeks ago with our dog. We only stopped at service stations in Spain & France and stayed overnight in a dog friendly hotel after coming off the euro tunnel. It was a holiday inn express at Folkestone, a 5 minute drive from the euro tunnel. They were fantastic with our dog. Only thing is you can only stay in hotels if you match certain criteria at the moment in the U.K.

There are lists available online for accommodation that’s open in France & Spain. The tolls were around €120. Unsure if the price is the same for the reverse journey. If you go onto Michelin website and put in your journey, they will tell you how much tolls are & the price of fuel.
There was paperwork we had to complete for travelling in and out of France and for driving during the curfew hours. I got links to all this from the U.K. government website. We were never stopped by police at all on the journey but a good idea to have the correct paperwork if you do.

Good luck
