CERTIFICATE OF NON-EXISTENCE OF URBAN INFRINGEMENT - Help Please !!!

Marbella Town Hall are not helping me so can you help.

I have through my lawyer submitted a Certificate of non-existence of Urban Infringement (Certificate of no Infracciones) as my property was built before the Occupation Licence process started years ago. The form was submitted End of March and is supposed to take 2 weeks for them to complete.

I was told the person who is responsibility to issue them was fired from his job and so now there is a big backlog. This is clearly unacceptable as an excuse.

Unfortunately I have a buyer for my villa and this is holding up the sale such I may lose the transaction.

Does anyone have a contact at Marbella Town hall who can look into my request and help move it along urgently? Maybe councillor, a head of department, Mayor or head of planning.

With respect you should be really pushing the lawyer to sort this out or get another, dealing personally with some of these things can be tricky.

If the town hall has no staff member responsible for doing these decisions, then my lawyer cannot do anything. Do you not think I tried that route first ?! I need a contact to call to sort it our by banging spanish heads together. But thank for your suggestion.
