Auto cars not common here in Spain and used car prices very high, most people keep them much longer than UK, new often the best option.

Here a link to a used dealer English. https://www.robertsoncars-spain.com/cars.html

Sorry David I must have missed your reply ! I have been having a look at used cars on a site recommended to another person on the forum called Autohero and the prices and mileage are certainly high so thinking along the lines you advise and going to a main dealer ! Think it might be safer and there are a few dealers as you drive into Marbella ! I’m not in a rush but thinking I will go along at somepoint and talk to a few dealers ! Dealing with garages in the UK is bad enough but  think it might be worse here !!
Just talking about the British licence and having problems post brexit ! Is this for people like yourself who I guess live here ? I only come on breaks to the apartment so I presume it would not affect me ? So I am not sure what it all means ? I have read some information on the forum and it looks like it ends on 31 October ? Will this mean some people will not be allowed to drive sorry I don’t know much about the subject ? Thanks Julie

Be careful with car dealers, there are a lot of dodgy ones around. Make sure you get the permiso de circulacion (log book) in your name before you take the vehicle. Many people have been stung by dealers not transferring car ownership and get stuck with cars they can't resell.
