We are bringing a boat back from Estepona to Portsmouth via Santander beginning of November We have never done this before so it will be quite a challenge we don’t really want to use the motorways But we would welcome any ideas for best route But  most important accommodation that would have somewhere safe for the boat we think we may need Two nights accommodation Any advice would be very helpful Thank you in advance

Estepona to Santander will take a very long time without using Autoroutes, and be very tiring. If you don't wish to risk hotel accommodation car parks, select a couple of private Airbnb with some parking for the boat, rather than risk Hotel Car parks.

My point being with a boat you might be better to find private accommodation such a house with a drive, if you spend time on AIrbnb searches with  the reviews, you should be able to find some perfect stop places. Good luck
