Hi, has anyone had problems ringing the Uk from Spain - landline to landline? I have never had a problem before but for two weeks  when I ring the UK number I get a buzzing sound and no connection.. Regards J

Hi, thanks for replying. No connection with UK since beginning of June? I have been in touch with Movistar and they are looking into it and 3 days now and still not sorted so fingers crossed. Regards J

Yes, I agree. They keep sending text messages saying I can see what is happening online - but too complicated for me so I will just have to sit back and wait and wait and wait ha ha!! Regards J

Hi Jinxy,

I just wondered why you were using a landline. Not only are you paying for the line, it is much easier and cheaper with a mobile.

Hi Trevor, unfortunately my friend in the UK has neither a mobile or a computer and the only way to communicate is by landline or letters. The postal system in the UK is slow - I sent a birthday card mid December for my niece's birthday end January and she received it end of March?????

Hi J,

Nice to hear someone is still using traditional methods. I have all the technology but nothing quite like a handwritten letter.

Just compiling a family history and reading letters from my Dad to my Mum during the war. What will we do in the future?

I have had similar problems with mail although a Father's Day card for 1oth June did arrive 7 days after she sent it, so seems to be improving.

You might like to go to the Moviestar office in San Luis de Sabinillas and see if they can chase it up, they do speak a bit of English.

Hi Trevor, been trying to get my friend to invest in a mobile or PC but she will not budge. I hate all this technology but would not be without my mobile and PC. Good idea re the Sabinillas shop will pop in and see if they can help

Keep smiling J
