It should work providing you have a VPN like 'Express VPN' for UK TV. - Note the VPN will about half your speed, so need a 'good internet connection' to stop from buffering, good luck.

I use Firestick with smart TV plus Nord VPN

I have also loaded Kodi onto Firestick - and this works fine also

Express VPN comes out top in many reviews, like below, however, for TV and running things like BBC iPlayer, for stability and not buffer too much you need a very good internet connection, you will lose half or more internet speed routing the data via their UK server. Bandwidth can reduce at peak times, when many people on line, ideally you need a start speed of about 100 Mbps HD TV. - There are hundreds of free VPNs available, and the truth is that most simply aren't that great. Some of the sketchy free VPN apps bombard you with unwanted ads and very well may well try and sell your data. The very best VPN is using a pro Amazon Web Services connection, where you pay for the actual data used, but you need to know what you are doing to create an account and connection. .

The speed of a VPN can depend on many things, location servers, load of users, however, peoples source speed connection always important,
