N26-Good spot. Not available to UK residents though

In order to open the N26 account you must be 18 or over and currently be a resident of one of the following countries:

Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and the US.

If you are a UK citizen and want to open a N26 account for your life in Spain you will need to prove you are resident in Spain and have a Spanish tax identification number. However after Brexit, N26 closed down its UK division and accounts that service the UK.

Anyone got recommendations for low cost euro banks open to UK residents, as I too am with Sabadell & their charges?

I was with Santander and have recently changed to TARGOBANK. 

I have found them pretty good up to now. There’s a branch in Estepona and Peurto Banus, I know the manager in Banus ( very nice guy speaks English) if you want me to introduce you 😎.

Thank you for this I will pass this on to my husband. Never heard of this bank. Another friend suggested changing to BBVA when we can get back. X

We are with BBVA in Nueva Andalucia near PBanus 

Banco Cajamar - Wefferent account. No charges whatsoever. Completely online via an app. Need a Spanish SIM card to open it. Used HITS mobile for this. Free credit card with the Wefferent account. Best thing I have done. Glad to get rid of Sabadell.
