Hi we will be coming for a few days to Estepona and we are Canadian. We need some one to advise us. We would like to walk to places to eat for dinner in the old town. We are fit walkers! We want though to know if it is ok to be walking about at night in Estepona. We like all kinds of food. We will not have a car. We want to go to Gibralter January 11 and need suggestions for the bus. Here are some suggestions for typical places to eat in the town.
Estepona is very safe. I walk about on my own in the dark evenings, no problem.
For Gib you catch the bus to La Linea. Here's the timetable http://bit.do/HorEstepona
The buses DIRECTO you can only catch from the bus station, outside town. You'll need to get there in time to queue and buy your ticket.
The RUTA buses you can also catch at the bus station, buying your ticket first. But you can also catch them at two other stops in town, paying the driver. Depends where you are staying which bus stop I tell you about!
If you are here on January 5 you must see the Three Kings Parade in town.
