COVID tests

Good morning everyone

We are hoping, fingers crossed, to come to Estepona late August for a holiday. Can anyone please advise best and cheapest place to get the COVID test that is required before returning to UK.
Another question please, we are looking for a private taxi from Malaga airport to our hotel. We have used a number of good companies in the past but about 4 years ago we used a very good one run by expats. They were very reasonable and good. Any recommendations please?

Hi

I can highly recommend the Covid test centre at Malaga airport. To return to England, you don't need a PCR test, a rapid antigen test will suffice, which costs 25 Euros. I'd recommend you book a slot well in advance. The test centre is situated in the original part of the airport and you get your results in 5-20 minutes (ours took 10 mins). The test result and Covid test certificate are sent to your mobile phone or email, so you can book a test 30 minutes before your check-in time for your flight. When you get to the test centre, there are two queues, one on the right for people who have booked an appointment, and the other (a very long queue) for those who haven't booked. Alternatively if you can not get an appointment at Malaga Airport then there is Clinica Del Rio (952 805 329) in Avda Litoral,Estepona or Cenyt Hospital (952 808 100) in Av. de Andalucia, Estepona who will do these tests for you. Prices are unnknown at this stage.

I concur with Clifton1971, we used the Malaga Airport Covid Travel Test Centre. Booked a number of weeks in advance, slots get booked quickly as it’s the cheapest Antigen test available. A nurse does the test for you, very smooth process.
